Simply Visual Recruiting Upgrades

Simply Visual Recruiting upgrades are available to all of our clients whose annual tech support contract is currently up to date.  If you are not certain of your annual tech support contract's status, please contact us at 877-393-3237 or email at sales@simplesolutionsinc.com

To complete the upgrade process perform the following steps:

Download one of the above mentioned download links depending on your limited vs

  unlimited license contract

Save the download file to your c:\svrec60 folder or to whatever folder you have  

  installed the program.

Open a DOS window

At the DOS prompt type the following commands:

  cd \svrec60 (hit enter)

  For Limited: svrupdate -o -d -n -spassword 

  For Unlimited:  svrunlim -o -d -n -spassword) (Hit enter)

  exit (hit enter)

If your annual tech support contract is up to date, call us at 877-393-3237 for the

  password

Before running the upgrade ask your other users to log off from Simply Visual

   Recruiting

At the logon screen for Simply Visual Recruiting logon normally as a user to the target

  database, but before clicking the Connect button, check the box labeled "Check Table 

  Structures"

Assuming that you see no error messages after performing the last step, you should then be able to run the software normally from that point forward.  If you have other workstations that need to also be upgraded, then follow all steps mentioned above. 

IDSMail32

IDSMail32 is a library that when installed with Simply Visual Recruiting adds the capability of sending Email messages without Microsoft's Outlook.  The default Email process of Simply Visual Recruiting is to send its email messages through Microsoft's Outlook.  If Outlook is not installed on your workstation or is not the preferred Email processing program, then it may be necessary to install this module to send those messages independently of Outlook.

To complete this module installation perform the following steps:

Download the above mentioned module.

Save the downloaded file to your c:\svrec60 folder.

Open a DOS window

At the DOS prompt type the following commands:

           cd \svrec60 (hit enter)

           svrupemail -o -spassword (hit enter)

           setup (hit enter)  (Install normally from this point forward)

           exit (hit enter)

Start up Simply Visual Recruiting and log in normally with your user id.

After viewing the Contents screen click on the menu bar Maintain->Options.

Enter a mail server address in the SMTP Server field

Enter a return email address

Click the Use IDS Mail check box

Click Save

Query Maker

Query Maker is designed to give you the flexibility of creating your own Ad-Hoc Reports.

To complete this module installation perform the following steps:

Download the above mentioned module.

Save the downloaded file to your c:\svrec60 folder.

Open a DOS window

At the DOS prompt type the following commands:

          cd \svrec60 (hit enter)

          qmaker -o -spassword (hit enter)

          exit (hit enter)

Start up Simply Visual Recruiting and log in normally with your user id.

Query Maker is now ready to be used under AdHoc Reports from the Contents screen.
